Our Freedom

Glad to have composed music for this year's Remembrance vignette, “Our Freedom”. It supports the Department's mandate to promote recognition and remembrance of the achievements and sacrifices of those who served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace.

Noel en Boite

I just finished scoring this Franco-Ontarian romantic comedy. This was a lot of fun. Also, there was nothing more refreshing than working on a snowy Christmas movie during our extremely hot summer. Directed by Jocelyn Forgues.

I composed the opening theme and complete score for the TV series “St-Nickel”, produced by Carte Blanche Films. Jay Bond and Garry Tutte, who both collaborated in creating and producing the visual concept of the opening, were also nominated for “Best Graphic Packaging”. Special thanks to producer Tracy Legault, who has made this all possible.

Jaxon and Song's Maple Mystery

Recently finished scoring this animated mini series. All episodes were scored from the Animatics reels (Leica). The schedule was so tight I never saw the final animation until its launch date on CBC on July 1st 2017.

Just in time for Canada's 150th birthday, Jaxon and Song have been invited to a mysterious party, but before they get there, they have a thing or two to learn about this great country and what makes Canada, Canada!

Follow Song and Jaxon as they travel through our vast country exploring and finding clues to help them solve the mystery of who is celebrating on July 1st, where and why. Produced by Victory Arts.

The new $10.00 Bill

To celebrate Canada's 150th year in 2017, the Bank of Canada launched the new Canadian 10 dollar bill . Produced by Affinity Productions, it was a privilege to score this musical track to this animated promo video.

I just completed scoring and writing songs for this amazing series. The story revolves around a struggling strip club, There's humour, drama, a bit of satire and a small devine intervention. Words that come to mind: Beautiful, dirty, gritty, sexy and devine. .It will start airing on UNIS late this May.

I have just completed scoring this sketch comedy series. What's unique about this show is the lack of dialogue sound. The intent is to connect to the audience with the visuals, music and some sound effects. Produced by Slalom Productions, this short series is scheduled to air on SRC early in 2016.

Shutterbugs has the green light

Shutterbugs is a children's animation series that will start production this spring. Produced by Big Jump, this 52 x 11 minutes series will air this fall on TVO and later in French on SRC.

Dr. Rogormorto

Doctor Rigormorto is a new family show, in the tradition of the Addams Family, The Munsters, and HR Puffinstuff, with a little Pee-Wee's Playhouse thrown in for good measure. The show is being produced by Atomic's Howard Sonnenburg, in association with Scott McClelland (Carnival Diablo), Karl Roeder (Frameworks), and Chris Mullington (TV Factory). Serge Cote is providing the music (in the classic style of Edgard Varèse), and Atomic Audio and Affinity productions are also partnering to help us bring this project to life. You can view the show opener below and be sure to check out the Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/doctorrigormorto.

YOUniverse season 2 complete

Writing music for these interstitials is so much fun. YOUniverse is a story telling based animation that describes the universe through the eyes and imagination of young children. Produced by Victory Arts.

Corrupt all the way

Serge Côté just finish scoring the crime drama movie “Corrupt”, produced by Zed Filmworks. This film, starring Nicole de Boer, Scott Gibson and Peter Michael Dillon, was shot and produced in Ottawa.
